Accessibility for all in Chanel’s
concept store in Stockholm

Chanel was looking for a spot to open a concept store in Stockholm. When the perfect location in the heart of Stockholm was found the architects and Chanel realized they needed to improve accessibility so that everyone would be able to enter the store.

The demands for the solution were that it should be invisible when not in use, elegant and dignified in a way that makes the store accessible for wheelchair users and people with impaired mobility. The solution chosen was the Stepless SLP model E, a lifting platform integrated within the stairs thus saving space.
