Seminar for
Occupational Therapy students

Today we have had the pleasure of teaching a large group of occupational therapy students about some of the daily challenges as a wheelchair user.

Arms and shoulders are easily injured and as you can tell from the images it is not always easy to negotiate the ramp.

The kind of ramp most suitable in any particular situation is usually determined by the difference in height and the user’s specific needs.

We always recommend using the longest ramp possible – the longer the ramp, the gentler the gradient and the easier the ramp is to negotiate.
